The workhorse of air caster transport

Neoprene is the strongest membrane material used in air casters, and the most widely specified. Reinforced, flexible neoprene stands up to rough conditions and high temperatures, which makes these casters the usual choice for machines, transformers and large structures.

A neoprene membrane can run at higher pressure than polyurethane and, at the same diameter, lifts the load higher. Combined with diameters from 8 to 60 in, that gives the highest capacities in the range: up to 175,000 lbs per caster.

Tell us the weight and floor and we will size the casters, support plates and air supply for you.

Frequently asked

Common questions before a first air caster project.

A sealed, flat and level concrete floor. Open joints, cracks and slope all increase air consumption and reduce lift. Our brochure “Air caster transport and the floor” covers the requirements in detail.
